Screens Producer & MUXR Lab Technician
Feb 21, 2026

As the Screens Producer for the E-Sports Ohio Regional Tournament, I coordinated visual production and technical infrastructure across event planners, team coaches, support staff, and 9+ competing teams. The project required delivering broadcast-quality screens production while integrating real-time scoring data into custom visual systems within compressed venue timelines. Key challenges included developing unified graphics accommodating distinct team branding and maintaining production quality during live competition with unpredictable match durations and technical variables.

The project required delivering broadcast-quality screens production while integrating real-time scoring data into custom visual systems within compressed venue timelines. Key challenges included developing unified graphics accommodating distinct team branding and maintaining production quality during live competition with unpredictable match durations and technical variables.

My role required executing professional screens production supporting tournament operations and spectator experience. This included managing equipment load-in and testing, developing custom graphics for 9+ teams using TouchDesigner, and creating a dynamic scoring system translating real-time match data into color gradient visualizations. The project demanded coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups while handling visual media development and stage management before and during live competition. This event was also another amazing opportunity to work alongside my fellow MUXR Lab Technicians, Elijah Phipps (left) and Paige Falter (right).

I coordinated with event planners on load-in schedules and technical requirements, then managed equipment deployment and testing to ensure system reliability. I utilized Touch Designer to develop a custom graphics package, integrating 9+ team logos with consistent design while maintaining individual branding. I contributed to engineering a dynamic scoring visualization pulling real-time match data and translating wins and losses into shifting color gradients for audience tracking. During the event, I managed stage production, responding to technical issues and timing adjustments while maintaining broadcast quality throughout tournament operations.

The tournament delivered a successful production experience, with screens elements performing reliably and enhancing the competitive atmosphere. The Touch Designer graphics system successfully integrated 9+ team brands, and the real-time scoring visualization strengthened audience engagement. Event planners, coaches, and competitors provided positive feedback on production quality and responsiveness. Equipment protocols prevented technical disruptions during live matches. My Touch Designer proficiency created capabilities for future projects requiring real-time data visualization. The experience confirmed that learning specialized software creates lasting technical assets and that successful live production balances meticulous planning with adaptive execution.
